Finalist comments for the Law Awards 2020

Thomson Reuters Asian Legal Business asked some of the #Finalists in this week's #Japan #LawAwards #2020 to speak about *the #innovations and #transformations they adopted to sustain performance and manage stakeholder expectations in the time of #COVID19

*. While I noticed that some lawyers over this time took a step away from stepping up, for me, I found embraced the role of a "strongly-rooted tree" providing sustenance for my clients up through my tree-trunk to their branches and leaves🌿

This was basically how I was able to sustain performance - both mine and theirs. I also instituted some #micro #innovations which are small but moved the needle.

Here’s my comment in full:

🗣As a flexible legal service provider, we were already working remotely before COVID-19 , making us largely “COVID-proof.” Staff did not have adjustments like other firms expereinced. The impact was striking on our clients because working remotely was absolutely new. We discovered spending the time to teach clients how to use Zoom etc., empowered them and provided an excellent touchpoint for virtual coffees and catching up. We embraced the online environment providing knowledge-sharing webinars. This was perfect timing and a silver lining of the State of Emergency as it meant clients had time on hand to attention back-burner projects.
